With Live Vulnerabilities, you can now access real-time vulnerability information as consultants identify them, significantly reducing the risk window. This enhancement enables your IT teams to begin triaging vulnerabilities within minutes, rather than waiting for the full assessment to be published. You can mark vulnerabilities as resolved as soon as they are fixed, even during an ongoing engagement. This proactive approach ensures that potential threats are addressed swiftly, enhancing your organisation's security posture.

In addition to real-time vulnerability management, we've launched a live chat feature for direct communication with consultants during engagements. By simply using the '@consultant' mention, you can instantly reach out for advice or clarification about specific vulnerabilities. This feature, available exclusively during live engagements, fosters seamless collaboration between your team and our consultants. We've also introduced a new notifications tab and browser push notifications, keeping you informed without needing to constantly access the portal. Enhanced collaboration is further supported by the '@' mention system, allowing teams to maintain context in their discussions. The update also includes a new dashboard widget for live reporting, a navigation menu for grouping vulnerabilities discovered during engagements, and improved email and integration alerts, all designed to streamline your security operations.

Live Vulnerabilities

We are excited to announce the launch of Live Vulnerabilities, a groundbreaking feature from SecurePortal and Pentest People. This innovative tool allows our consultancy team to deliver real-time vulnerability updates as they are discovered during engagements. To enhance your experience, we've introduced a new dashboard widget that prominently displays vulnerabilities identified in any live engagements. Additionally, a dedicated page consolidates all vulnerabilities discovered by our consultants, providing a comprehensive view. This feature is particularly beneficial if you have multiple assessments running simultaneously, as it aggregates results into a single, easy-to-navigate view. From this centralised location, you can assign users to specific vulnerabilities, delve into detailed information, and identify affected assets, streamlining your response efforts.

To further simplify the process, we've implemented a live reporting icon that appears above any assessment currently in progress. This visual cue makes it easy to identify active engagements at a glance, ensuring that your team can prioritise and address vulnerabilities promptly. By integrating these features, SecurePortal empowers your organisation to maintain a proactive security posture, reducing risk exposure and enhancing overall efficiency in vulnerability management.

Live Chat

During an ongoing assessment, you can use the '@consultant' tag to mention the consultant within a vulnerability discussion. This feature is perfect for seeking clarification or expert advice without the security concerns of sharing sensitive data via email. When a consultant responds to your comment, you'll receive instant notifications, enabling you to act swiftly and efficiently.

This tool allows you to easily notify team members about relevant vulnerabilities, even if they aren't directly involved in the assessment. It facilitates open discussions about potential fixes and ensures everyone stays informed, all while keeping your data communications secure within the portal. Notifications

We've introduced a comprehensive new Notifications section in SecurePortal, designed to streamline how you receive updates. This section consolidates all notifications from the live chat feature and any newly published live vulnerabilities, ensuring you can easily access important information without being overwhelmed. By grouping notifications, we help you maintain focus and prioritise effectively.

Additionally, we've enabled browser push notifications to keep you informed in real-time. Upon logging into SecurePortal after the release, you'll be prompted to enable these notifications. Once activated, you'll receive direct alerts on your desktop, provided you're logged into SecurePortal. This feature enhances your workflow by allowing you to click directly on notifications, taking you straight to the relevant section of the portal.

We've also implemented email notifications for Live Reporting, ensuring you receive timely updates whenever vulnerabilities are published or when you're directly mentioned. This proactive approach to notifications not only improves communication but also accelerates the vulnerability management process.
